Two decades ago, I became a volunteer website and social media manager for a nonprofit in America's National Wildlife Refuge System, helping to promote a system of federal lands where wildlife comes first. I’m still a volunteer, and during this time I’ve developed my wildlife photography skills on numerous national wildlife refuges and other public lands, and enjoyed encounters with a variety of wild creatures, both large and small. Several years ago, I took up macro wildlife photography and was captivated by the many small creatures I found. Now macro is my main passion.

If you’re interested in my gear, I’ve been both a Nikon and Canon user, but currently my main gear is a Sony a7v camera with the Sony FE 100mm macro lens. I also use a Godox V860III flash and a Cygnustech diffuser.
